(Audi) CWA50 to CWA100-3 Adapter Kit

A bundle consisting of the Pierburg CWA100-3 water pump and an adapter cable to easily change out an existing CWA50 against the newer / stronger pump.
Popular for use in Audi vehicles originally equipped with the CWA50. (No guarantee of functionality! We are no Audi experts.)

Attention:
The adapter cable is not an Audi-specific product!
We offer it due to frequent customer requests but cannot guarantee it will work in every case.
It seems to work fine on some cars. And on others it does not.
CWA pump speeds are regulated via a control signal from the vehicle's ECU.
Some vehicle ECUs are compatible with the CWA100-3, while others are not.

Tip:
If the new pump fails to start at all using our adapter, there is a workaround.
You can simply cut (and insulate) the adapter's control wire (gray/red).
This causes the CWA100-3 to run at full speed as soon as it receives power.

Versions:
If you do not select a specific version, we will ship the cable with the CWA50-side connector crimped but not plugged in.
This allows you to decide for yourself which CWA100-3 pin connects to which CWA50 pin.

CWA100-3 Pin 3 -> PWM -> CWA50 Pin 3

Pierburg CWA100-3

The CWA100-3 is a successor of the CWA100-2 we are also offering. The dimensions and the weight are nearly the same.
New is the freshly designed impeller housing with slightly shorter water in and outlets and the bigger electrical connector.
This improves the handling of bigger cable diameters significantly.
Suitable for instance for intercooling in combustion engine vehicles and cooling of various systems in electrical vehicles.
